Once the background is removed, you can leave it transparent or swap in a solid color — white, red, blue, green, black, or any custom color — using the swatches above the upload box. The output is generated entirely on your device — your photo isn't uploaded to a server, though the segmentation model itself is downloaded from Google's CDN the first time you use this tool.
